Crosslinked PEX Piping
These pipes are made of crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) in the range from 10mm up to 500mm outside diameter. These pipes are used in a wide area of applications.
Besides their use in domestic hot water supply and sanitary installations, PEX pipes are recommended for use in the industry for the transference of corrosive liquids and slurries.
PEX pipes are crosslinked by a chemical process at high rates of pressure and temperature. During the process the polyethylene molecules form carbon-carbon links with each other, creating a 3D network. This improves the properties of ordinary polyethylene, giving it the characteristics of a new type of material.
The pipes are designed for working pressures of up to 24 bars and for working temperatures of up to 95°C, but can also withstand temperature surges up to 110°C.
The production of PEX pipes is supervised and approved by several International standard institutes and its Quality System has been approved by the ISO-9001 certificate.
The PEX pipes plant manufactures PEX pipes for hot and cold water supply, by three processing techniques: RAM extruders, crosslinked by peroxide under high pressure (PEX-a); Conventional extrusion followed by irradiation (electron-beam) crosslinking (PEX-c); Multilayer pipe, PEX-Al-PEX, produced by innovative modern laser technology.
PEX pipes are used for domestic water supply, underfloor and central heating systems, municipal water supply systems and for chemical and heavy industry applications.
